TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE

GENERAL

These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights. To order goods through this website you must be at least 18 years of age and accept delivery within our served areas. We will treat each order for goods as an offer by you to purchase the goods subject to these terms and conditions.

All services provided to you by Trustwood Bars Ltd are subject to these terms together with any previous written or verbal representations given or made by Trustwood Bars or any representatives of Trustwood Bars Ltd.

DELIVERY & RETURNS

All our buildings are delivered by our own transport department. This enables us to ensure that every building arrives in perfect condition. Furthermore, our skilled craftsmen are always on-hand to swiftly erect your new building. All our buildings are covered by our standard warranty, details of which are available on request. 

 

We DO NOT except returns or miss measured or incorrectly positioned windows and doors on any sheds or garden rooms and subsequently customer will have to pay for replacement. 

 

If a customer is not present upon delivery, a detailed drawing or markings are required to show position of new garden building. Trustwoodbars takes no responsibility for incorrectly positioned building if positional instructions are not stated.

CONDITIONS OF SALE

All goods remain the property of Trustwoodbars until paid for in full. 

All balance payments can be made by cash, Card or bank transfer. With Finance options on orders over £1000. We do not accept cheques for final balance payments.

 

Timber is a natural product, therefore splits, knot drops, warping, shrinking, swelling, twisting and copping, are natural defects and as such are an accepted condition of sale.

DOORS AND WINDOWS

All doors and windows are fitted level to the base in which the structure is on, all willbe in perfect working order when our fitters leave. Any warping, swelling or droppingof the doors or windows, wooden or UPVC, is the responsibility of the customer and can be a factor of weather. Trustwoodbars takes no responsibility for this once thestructure is erected and been left in complete working order.

BASE:

A firm, level base is required to erect the building on. There will be no guarantee offered on any building erected upon an uneven or sloping base area. For information on the various types of bases available please consult our sales staff.

GUARANTEE

  • The guarantee covers your building against rot and manufacturer defects, 10 years for Shiplap Shed Buildings, 15 years for Shiplap Garden Buildings, and 30 years for Composite Garden Buildings. At the point of delivery we guarantee the building to be waterproof, however we do not guarantee the roofing felt against wind or storm damage. Guarantee on all felted buildings is 10 years and rubber roofs are 30 years.

DELIVERY OF GOODS

  • We require CLEAR and UNOBSTRUCTED access to the property. Access for shed must be 220cm and 250cm for all Garden room panels, if access is an issue please get in touch with one of our staff to arrange and alternative. We DO NOT lift components over walls, fences or garages. We do not carry any panels through properties unless stated beforehand to one of our team and Disclaimer is signed. In the event of access being obstructed or unsuitable, we will deliver the building components only. In this event we can be re-called to your site to erect the building once the components have been relocated, however this will incur a further callout charge of no less than £45.00 At the point of delivery Trustwood Bars accepts no responsibility for any damage caused to owners property, either internally or externally, during transportation and erection of buildings.

CARE AND MAINTENENCE

All Shiplap buildings are pressure treated framing and Cladding. This treatment is sufficient for 5 years but to ensure longevity and valid warranty the wood needs to be treated yearly.

PLANNING PERMISSION

In most circumstances planning permission is not required because it is a Timber Sectional Building. However you will require planning permission if you live in an area of outstanding natural beauty or your building is within 20ft of a public right of way. Furthermore if you require your Garden room to exceed 2.4m in height or over 30sqm in area. Essentially it is the customers responsibility to check local authority regulations for both planning permission and building regulations.

DEPOSIT

By paying deposit, customer agrees to all terms and conditions above. Trustwoodbars takes no responsibility for customers failure to read terms and conditions.
